Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

JOMI: Jurnal Organisasi dan Manajemen Indonesia

Introduction

Purpose: This guide aims to provide clear direction for authors who wish to publish their scholarly work in JOMI: Journal of Indonesian Organization and Management.
Scope: Accepted articles include original research, literature reviews, case studies, and opinion papers in the fields of management, economics, and business.


General Requirements

  • Language: Articles must be written in proper Indonesian or English.

  • Originality: Articles must be original and have not been previously published or currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Plagiarism: All submissions will be screened using anti-plagiarism software. Articles with a similarity index above 20% will be automatically rejected.


Article Structure

Each submitted article should follow the structure below:

  • Title: Clear, concise, and accurately reflects the content of the article (maximum 15 words).

  • Author(s) and Affiliation: Full names (without academic titles) and institutional affiliations of all authors.

  • Abstract: 150–250 words, including research objective, methods, results, and conclusion. Must be written in both Indonesian and English.

  • Keywords: 3–5 keywords/phrases that reflect the article’s main topics.

  • Introduction: Presents background of the problem, research objectives, and relevant literature review.

  • Research Methodology: Provides a detailed explanation of the research design, population and sample, data collection techniques, and data analysis.

  • Results and Discussion: Clearly presents the research findings supported by tables and figures. Discusses the findings in relation to existing literature, implications, and limitations.

  • Conclusion and Recommendations: Summarizes the main findings and provides suggestions for future research or practical implications.

  • Acknowledgments: (If applicable) Acknowledge parties who contributed to the research.

  • References: Use APA (American Psychological Association) reference style, and only include sources cited in the text.


Manuscript Formatting

  • Font and Size: Book Antiqua, 10 pt; Abstract in 9 pt.

  • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing throughout the text.

  • Margins: 2.54 cm (1 inch) on all sides.

  • Paper Size: A4, Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • Page Numbering: All pages must be numbered sequentially starting from the title page.

  • Tables and Figures: Must be numbered, titled clearly, and explained within the text.


Article Submission

  • Submission System: Articles must be submitted via the journal’s online submission system at: https://ejournal.mediapenamandiri.com/index.php/jomi/

  • File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  • Cover Letter: A cover letter must be included, declaring that the manuscript has not been published and is not under consideration by another journal.


Review Process

  • Peer Review: All manuscripts will undergo double-blind peer review by two independent reviewers.

  • Review Duration: The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks.

  • Revision: If revisions are required, authors will be given 2–4 weeks to submit the revised manuscript.


Publication Ethics

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Ethical Compliance: Authors are required to comply with the publication ethics guidelines set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).


Copyright and Licensing

  • Copyright: Authors retain the copyright of their articles but grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish.

  • License: Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work even for commercial purposes provided appropriate credit is given to the original author(s).

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
